Why Double PIN was created
Many digital platforms still rely on a single secret, a static PIN, or a single verification step to approve actions that can result in financial loss, identity exposure, or unauthorised access. Double PIN Technology was developed to reduce that weakness by separating identity confirmation from final action approval.
The idea is straightforward: PIN₁ identifies the user, while PIN₂ authorises the sensitive action. PIN₂ is dynamic, time-limited, and delivered through a registered channel so that possession of PIN₁ alone is not enough.
Core Principle
Authentication should prove who the user is. Authorisation should separately confirm that the user truly approves the action being performed.
